Dare to... Shoot For The Moon

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.” ― Les Brown

Dare to...

Dare to.... aim high, go ahead, do it because even if you don't quite get where you're going, you'll be further along than you were before. And "try your hardest" or "give it all you've got." But most importantly, give yourself more credit than you have been giving yourself in the past.

Give yourself the potential and creative thirst for wanting to do more, achieve more and have more, it's your right. What's important is how you perceive yourself, because the possibilities of life are open for you to grow and stretch yourself in every facet in your life. So, dare to....:
shoot for the moon
  • Change your thoughts. Change your thoughts and change your life. Success is a habit you embrace on a daily basis, not just every now and then.  And the earlier you get into that mindset the sooner you will be able to embrace the possibilities awaiting you. The mind is everything and remember we become what we think.
  • Get off the shore. Stop waiting for someone to give you a chance, you've got to take a chance.  Do something different.  Try something new. In order to do something you’ve never done, you’ve got to become someone you’ve never been. Stretch the potential within you by giving yourself permission to aim higher and be a greater you.

  •  Fight the fear.  As you shoot for the moon, you will be introduced to trials, failures and disappointments, just know that is the process of discovery and greatness... not disappointment.  As inspirational speaker Les Brown says, most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss. “Most people fail because they aim too low and hit. And many don’t aim at all.”  Don't be afraid to miss, it's all part of your growth  through your journey.
  • Be a life-long learner.  Whatever you do, don't settle for less than your very best.  Many people have a tendency to give up on their dream early in life. They stop trying new things, stop developing, growing, pushing and challenging themselves. In this global economy, you must stretch and renew your mind, for it's no longer an option.  If you don't expand, then you're setting yourself up to be expendable.
And, that's why I use this very timely quote from Mr. Brown, "Shoot for the moon, because even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”  Aim high. It means set great goals for yourself, and try your best. Don't aim at easy-to-reach goals. Go for something that shows the best of your ability. Life sometimes throws us curveballs, but Brown says these occasions provide opportunities.  He said that he wouldn't be where is today if it were not for his failures, neither would I, and neither would others you might know...and even you. So pursue your goals and dreams...shoot for the moon.
